On June 14, the China-Pak technology transfer matchmaking workshop hosted by Department of International Cooperation of Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Department of Science and Technology of Yunnan province was held in Kunming, the provincial capital of Yunnan. Mr. Ruan Chaoqi Deputy Director General of department of Science and technology of Yunnan province and Mr. Shehryar Raja of PCSIR delivered keynote speech. Delegates from NUST, COMSATS, NARC, ICCI, PCST, PAAPAM, SIMAP, Yunnan Agricultural University, Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Science were also present on the occasion.

Mr. Ruan Chaoqi Deputy Director General of department of Science and technology of Yunnan province said that since the establishment of China - South Asia technology transfer center Pakistan sub-center in July 2017, tremendous projects regarding solar photovoltaic water pumping irrigation system demonstration, extreme high temperature climate and overload transportation research and application, mutton sheep propagation technology integration application and promotion, super rice breeding, and joint research on disaster prevention and reduction in dealing with climate change under CPEC fall to the ground, giving a strong boost to scientific and technological innovation and social- economic development in Pakistan.
