On March 11, Mr. Li Ping director of Overseas Representative Office (ORO) in Pakistan visited Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). Bi-lateral trade cooperation and promotion of Yunnan Trade Center were discussed in the meeting.
Li ping said, Yunnan province, with its advantageous geographical location, is the window of China to South and Southeast Asia. Yunnan province is now setting up the Yunnan Exhibition and Trade Center of South Asia and Southeast Asia Import Commodity (hereinafter referred to as the Trade Center), which serve as the Everlasting China-South Asia Exposition. He sincerely invited Pakistani enterprises to settle a store in the Trade Center and display their characteristic commodities including agricultural and sideline products, handicrafts, light textile, daily necessaries, investment projects and etc.
Director Mr. Owais Khan of TDAP said that Yunnan and Pakistan both share an important position of “Belt and Road" Initiative and Pakistan hopes to further promote economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between the two sides to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. He believed that Yunnan Trading Center, which has a superior geographical location, convenient transportation and preferential policies, would be no doubt to attract Pakistani enterprises and facilitate the access of Pakistani products to Chinese market.
